  1. Anyone else get anxious from seeing the plate sitting on the railing?

  3. Greek salad with NY strip steak


    – 1 cucumber
    – 1 bell pepper
    – 1 red onion
    – 1-2 tomatoes, depending on size
    – 1/2 bag or head of lettuce (i used butter)
    – 1/3 can olives (omitted for me)
    – 1 package of feta cheese
    – 4-6 cloves of garlic
    – 2/3 cup olive oil
    – 1.5 tbps dijon mustard
    – 1.5 tbps red wine vinegar
    – salt/pepper to taste
    – oregano to taste
    – red pepper flakes to taste
    – 1 ny strip steak


    – Take steak out of fridge, salt liberally on both sides. Let sit at room temp for 45 mins to 1 hour.
    – Medium dice your cucumber, bell pepper, tomatoes, olives, red onion and combine in a bowl with feta cheese.
    – For the dressing, combine olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano, red pepper flakes, dijon mustard, red wine vinegar. Whisk to combine.
    – Once steak is ready, pat very dry with paper towels.
    – Heat pan on medium high heat. Add 1-2 tbps of high smoke point oil. Once shimmering, lay steak away from you. Push down and let cook for 1.5 mins. Flip steak, add 2 crushed garlic cloves and 1 tbps of butter. Baste steak with melted butter and garlic for additional 1.5 mins.
    – Take steak out and let rest for 4-5 mins.
    – Add dressing to salad, toss well.
    – Slice steak, add to plate with salad and serve.

  4. Greek salad has no lettuce just tomato cucumber feta onions and maybe capers with olive oil
