  1. When it’s August and September, blackberry season is in full swing so I usually pick them as the ripen and freeze them. This usually lasts be a few months and I like making blackberry compote for oatmeal and yogurt! Perfect to save those pennies when you don’t want to buy frozen berries!

    Recipe:

    -500g frozen blackberries (1.1 lb)

    -2 tbsp water

    -2 tbsp granulated sugar (optional)

    Just bring to boil, mash up and simmer for 10-15mins!
