Low Budget Recipe: Black Forest Oatmeal (recipe in comments)

I’ve linked the recipe here for anyone who’s keen to try- and it uses everyday store cupboard ingredients. The only slightly pricey item is the cherries which you can omit and just make a yummy chocolate porridge. https://londonishungry.com/black-forest-oatmeal-chocolate-cherry-porridge/
Chocolate Porridge
40g (½ cup) porridge oats
1 mashed banana ripe
150ml (⅔ cup) milk
150ml (⅔ cup) water
1 tbsp cocoa powder
¾ tbsp honey (optional)
Decoration
4 pitted cherries (and serve with an extra bowl of more cherries)
3 tbsp natural yoghurt
1 small chocolate square, grated
6-8 mint leaves
Cook the oats, water, milk, cocoa powder, mashed banana and honey (if using) in a saucepan and then decorate.

I used to make overnight oats in the lazy version of this. I just added milk to oats, some cocoa powder and frozen cherries. And maybe some Greek yogurt? It’s been awhile but that was the gist. I think I used to also add ground flax seeds to make it healthier too.

I am loving the sound of this. Gradually getting back into eating oats after developing an intolerance. Really will enjoy experimenting with this
