  1. I substituted some ingredients and instructions based off what I had on hand and what I thought would taste better. They came out phenomenal!

    2 cups Bob’s Red Mill super fine blanched almond flour
    2 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp onion powder
    1 tsp ground mustard
    1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
    1 large Egg (whisked)
    1/3 cup Daisy Lite sour cream
    1/3 cup Kerry Gold Butter (melted)
    1 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)

    TOPPING:
    3 tbsp Kerry Gold Butter (melted)
    1/2 tbsp Fresh parsley (chopped)
    1/2 tbsp Italian seasoning
    1 tbsp grated parmesan
    1/4 tsp garlic powder

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
    Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

    In a large bowl, stir together almond flour, baking powder and seasoning

    Stir in the egg, sour cream and melted butter until uniform. Fold in the cheese (insert Schitt’s Creek scene here).

    Use a cookie scoop to scoop the dough onto the lined baking sheet. Form into 12 rounded biscuit shapes. They will spread, so space evenly.

    Bake for 14-16 minutes until semi-firm and golden. Remove from oven. Smoosh (yes, technical baking term) biscuits inward to create crinkles and a bit of height.

    Increase oven to 450°
    Bake again for 3-5 minutes to brown.

    Let cool for 10 minutes to firm up.

    Stir together topping ingredients. Brush the biscuits with the melted butter topping.

  4. I made a version of these yesterday too! Used the “carbquik” stuff that’s like lower carb bisquik.

    They had a bit of a different taste but pretty good!

  5. Thanks so much! I saw this post this morning and it inspired me. I made my favorite meal from Red Lobster, the Caesar salad topped with a salmon fillet, and had these as a side. They really were great. We are adding this one to our recipe book!
